ICMEI Signs MoU with Malaysian World Chamber of Commerce

Noida / Kuala Lumpur: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malaysian World Chamber of Commerce (MWCC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, marking an important milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation between India and Malaysia.

The MoU was formalized during the visit of Mr. John Francis, Chairman, Malaysian World Chamber of Commerce, and Dr. Jayanthi Raja Ratenan, Founder & President, MWCC, to Marwah Studios, Noida. The interaction focused on expanding collaboration across media, entertainment, trade, business promotion, and cultural exchange between the two nations.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, ICMEI, emphasized the growing importance of international partnerships in the creative and commercial sectors. He stated, “India and Malaysia share warm and friendly relations. This MoU will open new avenues for cooperation in film, television, media, events, education, trade promotion, and cultural activities. ICMEI is committed to using its global platforms to enhance people-to-people connections and institutional collaborations between both countries.”

Mr. John Francis, Chairman, MWCC, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and said that the MoU would facilitate meaningful engagement between business and creative communities of India and Malaysia. He highlighted the potential for joint ventures, networking opportunities, and sustained cooperation through structured programs and exchanges.

The event was attended by Mr. Raiv Mathur, Director, ICMEI, and Dr. Vijaylakshmi Mishra, Advisor, Indo–Malaysia Film and Cultural Forum, who reiterated their support for strengthening Indo–Malaysian ties through cinema, culture, and commerce.

The MoU is expected to play a vital role in promoting bilateral initiatives, encouraging mutual investments, and fostering long-term collaboration between ICMEI and MWCC, thereby further deepening the strong relationship between India and Malaysia.
