In the last decade, India has seen a huge growth in the number of CBSE schools in Kanakapura Road and also in the number of boards that these schools follow. It can be quite confusing for parents to choose the right board for their child.
The most popular boards are CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), ICSE (Indian Council of Secondary Education), IB (International Baccalaureate), and State Boards.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
The CBSE syllabus is more student-oriented and focuses on learning instead of rote memorization. In this board, emphasis is given to learning through play-way methods in primary classes, but students are trained well to excel in competitive examinations like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, etc. Exams are conducted annually at the end of each term and promotion to the next class is based on performance in these exams.
Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE)
The ICSE syllabus focuses on problem-solving skills rather than fact memorization. This board is known for its well-rounded education system that offers students a wide range of subjects to choose from. This board is well regarded as one of the toughest boards in India. It has a more comprehensive syllabus compared to CBSE and also focuses on practical learning. Most ICSE schools in Kanakapura Road are affiliated with CISCE (Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations).
