IND Vs ENG: दूसरे टेस्ट मैच के पहले दिन इंग्लैंड का दबदबा भारत पर ज्यादा दिखा दरअसल टीम इंडिया का स्कोर 6 विकेट 332 रन होने के बावजूद दिन का खेल विरोधी टीम के नाम रहा। बैटिंग इंग्लैंड ने टीम इंडिया पर अपना पूरा कंट्रोल बनाए रखा। यशस्वी जायसवाल को छोड़कर टीम इंडिया का कोई भी बल्लेबाज बैटिंग की स्थितियों में क्रीज पर ज्यादा देर तक टिक नहीं पाया।
भारत की तरफ से कप्तान रोहित शर्मा ने पहली पारी में महज 14 रन बनाए। सबको रोहित शर्मा से बहुत उम्मीदें थी लेकिन पिछली 8 टेस्ट पारियों में रोहित शर्मा एक बार भी अर्धशतक लगाने में कामयाब नहीं हो पाए हैं। गिल और अय्यर भी खराब फॉर्म में खेल रहे हैं।
