As per the latest updates by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), the examination for the post of UP Lekhpal is going to take place on 19th June 2022. If you have also applied for the examination then this post is for you, as through this article I am going to share some important tips and tricks through which you are able to secure your seat with a good score in the examination.

Some silly mistakes that candidates usually make in the examination hall:
Be in hurry: Don’t be in rush, read a question twice before answering it.
Forget to answer: Don’t skip questions to answer them later.
Lacking in time management: start your exam with strong areas and gradually move towards weak areas.

Do’s
Don’t Pick anything new, i.e. no new source to study, no new topics and also no new tricks at the last moment of the preparation.
You should prepare Section Wise to cover the whole syllabus.
Make a Study Plan according to weak and strong sections or areas.
Attempt UP Lekhpal Test Series to make yourself exam ready.

Don’t compare yourself with others, just work on your pace and speed.

Subject-wise approach:
Let's take a closer look at each subject individually in order to better prepare for the UP Lekhpal.

General Hindi:
There will be 25 multiple-choice questions in this section, each worth one mark.
This component takes less time and allows candidates to achieve higher scores.
Start with the basics if Hindi has never been a subject in your studies.
Start with Hindi grammar, as it will be the source of a lot of queries.
Topics to focus more: अलंकार, रस, समास, लोकोक्तियाँ एवं मुहावरे, तत्सम एवं तदभव, सन्धियाँ, वाक्यांशों के लिए शब्द निर्माण, वाक्य संशोधन – लिंग, वचन, कारक, वर्तनी, त्रुटि से सम्बंधित अनेकार्थी शब्द।

Rural Development and Rural Society:
Take a look at the official wording on the government's website.
Make a list of all the government-sponsored programmes in Uttar Pradesh.
Try answering a few questions to obtain a better knowledge of rural development.
More frequent revisions are required since the dates of UP-specific schemes may be demanded.

Mathematics:
Practice each topic at several levels of difficulty to reach a level of comfort.
Take full-length practice tests to improve your exam-taking strategy and gain a better understanding of your strengths and shortcomings.
Start with fundamental concepts and themes including percentage, profit and loss, SI and CI, and average.
While taking the exam, you can select the calculative questions for later. Spending too much time on a single question is not a smart idea.
If you want to enhance your speed when answering numerical issues, you'll need to put in a lot of practice time.
Topics to focus more on Decimal and Fractions, Ratio and Proportion, LCM HCF, Relationship between numbers, Percentages, Square roots, Averages, Interest (Simple and Compound), Profit and Loss, Triangle & Pythagoras Theorem, Rectangle, Square, Trapezium,

General Knowledge:
One-liner fact-based questions will make up the General Knowledge portion.
The same question appears in a lot of the General Science questions. Candidates will be able to devote more time to studying General Science as a result of this.
Try the previous year's questions as many times as the questions are repeated.
Only attempt questions on which you are 100% certain.
